As the Stick Yearns

There was a time, my heart yearned for a wife to love and a child to raise. So one day while fishing, I asked the Lord, "Lord, why haven't You given me a wife yet?? I am Your faithful servant and I try to do all that You ask of me?" And the Lord replied, "My humble and faithful servant, now that you have asked, I will give you the desires of Your heart because it is time My son that you should marry and be fruitful. Remember, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be open to you."
	So that night, I spent 3 hours of quiet time with the Lord, I told Him all about the wife I would like to have. I said, "Lord she would have to love You, and she would have to love me too, and I want kids Lord, and I hope she's smart, oh and Lord, Can You give me one that knows how to cook? Oh how I long for a nice home cooked meal!! I mean don't get me wrong...I am grateful for all the fish You have given me, but It would be nice to taste something different, something just like my momma used to make..."
And then it happened, there she was... Miss Prissy!! I fell head over heals in love with her!! "WoooHooo" "WOW" I thought... "She's just gotta be the one for me!! This must be her!" So I started talking to her, and found out, that she loved the Lord with all her heart, wow there was the answer to my first request. After our talk I was sooooo happy because she fit the perfect description that I had described to the Lord!
	So that night I went and spent some more quiet time with the Lord, as I always did, and I asked Him, "Lord, Miss Prissy, Is she the one for me?" And the Lord, replied, "Yes, My humble and faithful servant it is her." "WOW! Thank You Jesus!!" I shouted! My heart leaped and I thanked and praised Him that night for 2 hours with all of my heart! I told Him that I will always serve Him and I will make sure that I love her as He loves us, and treat her as he treats us, and raise any children that we have according to His perfect will!
My Miss Prissy was so very very smart! She was a teacher and had been teaching children in a local Christian school, not too far from where I used to go fishing. And we were married 2 months later. My Miss Prissy was now, Mrs. Prissy. We loved each other so much! The Lord really is awesome! A year later we talked about having a baby...and asked God if it is His will, then "can we have one?" And I guess, because Mrs. Prissy had been praying too... he blessed us with TWO beautiful healthy baby boys!! Double blessings!! I always say, "OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD"
	Well there they were, our little bundles of joy!! They were as cute as can be! We trained them up in the ways of the Lord, we taught them about the love of God, about keeping their hearts pure, and when they were old enough they dedicated their lives to the Lord, and asked Jesus to come into their hearts! What a joyous day that was for me and Prissy! It was as if I could almost hear the angels in Heaven singing!
And as they grew into men, and lived their life close to God. They found true happiness within themselves. And wouldn't you know it...One of my sons, became a musician for the Lord, and my other son, he became just like me! Oh God is sooo Good!
	And as always, in anything I may yearn for, I seek God for guidance and that His perfect will be done in our lives, before making any type of decisions. Because only through Him will I ever be happy living here on this earth! And that's the story on how my life became fulfilled! The End!
